Create highly connected systems with TM4C
All TM4C123x microcontrollers (MCUs) offer a multitude of universal asynchronous receiver transmitter, Serial Peripheral Interface and I2C ports to enable highly connected wired systems controlled by a single device. Higher featured variants also include dual Controlled Area Network bus and USB peripherals. A wide range of supporting peripherals; ranging from high-channel-count analog-to-digital converters to dedicated pulse-width modulation modules to a real-time clock with hibernation mode; enable these devices to be the centerpiece of reliable industrial applications.
There is an ever-expanding need to offer USB connectivity as part of a system, whether it's for connecting to a computer, interfacing in a closed loop system, or running firmware updates through a bootstrap loader. The TM4C family has device variants that support USB 2.0 Full Speed and come with a built-in read-only-memory-boot loader for USB. The TM4C123x family offers variants with USB device only functionality while the TM4C129x family can support USB 2.0 High Speed with an external physical layer.
Whether an application needs to connect to the cloud, the Internet-of-Things, or an intranet, having Ethernet functionality can be an important requirement. Many Ethernet-enabled TM4C129x microcontrollers (MCUs) integrate both the Ethernet medium access control (MAC) and physical layer (PHY), which saves system costs and minimizes board space.
