Why choose our OR gates?
Wide operating voltage range
Select products ranging from 0.8V to 18V to fulfill all your application needs.
Diverse package offering
Both leaded and nonleaded packages are available with pin counts ranging from 5 pins to 20 pins. Wettable flanks available on select packages.
Schmitt-trigger inputs
Our high-speed CMOS with Schmitt-trigger (HCS) family features Schmitt-trigger inputs that allow for superior noise immunity.
Common OR gate applications and features
Use fewer MCU GPIO channels to monitor error signals
Many systems have multiple error flags to monitor. When it is more important that an error occurred than exactly which module had the error, it is possible to reduce the number of inputs required to monitor these error flags. This video discusses one method to reduce the number of required inputs to monitor a set of error-flag outputs in an example system.

Learn more about common applications of OR gates
Digital signals sometimes need to be enabled or disabled during system operation. This video explores all the options for what to do with the output when a line is disabled, and identifies logic devices that can perform each function.

Optimize board size with cost-efficient solutions
The small-outline thin (SOT-23-THN) DYY package is a discrete logic leaded package measuring 4.2mm by 3.26mm, which is 57% smaller than the thin shrink small-outline package (TSSOP) equivalent. The DYY package's standard 0.5mm pitch enables easy integration into existing manufacturing equipment.
The BQA 14-pin logic very very quad flat no-lead (WQFN) package measures 3mm by 2.5mm, which is 76% smaller than the TSSOP equivalent and 40% smaller than the previous-generation QFN package. This package also comes in wettable-flank configurations to enable optical inspection rather than traditional X-ray inspection during manufacturing.

Reduce noise impact
Our high-speed CMOS with Schmitt-trigger (HCS) family performs over a 2V-to-6V input voltage range. Schmitt-trigger inputs decipher clean signals in 3.3V and 5V applications with high noise, and increase slow signal performance by sharpening logic-level transitions.
